The underground political history of the Troubles is rendered on the sublime wall murals that can be found throughout the neighborhoods of Belfast, particularly in the Catholic working-class region of the Falls Road and the Protestant working-class region of the Shankill Road--two neighborhoods that reside cheek-by-jowl in central Belfast.

The mural below is a tribute to Bobby Sands, commemorating his martyrdom for the cause of justice in Northern Ireland.
