Tour of Western Ireland

Among the many highlights of our time in Ireland was our five-day excursion through the West of Ireland.  Beginning in Tralee, we headed northward, crossing the Shannon into Clare and making our way into Galway.  After an unforgettable night spent on Inismore of the Aran Islands, we continued up into Sligo, the land of Yeats's childhood and site of his grave.  We then returned through the midlands to Galway, stopping at Clonmacnois and its magnificent display of Irish Crosses.  We finished with lengthy stops at Yeats's Tower and Lady Gregory's estate of Coole Park.  The entire journey was intense, astonishing, exhausting, and unforgettable.  Follow our travels through the guided menu below.
