The Irish Monasteries

Athassel Priory, Co. Tipperary, founded by the Augustinians in the 12th century.  This was the largest medieval priory in Ireland, and its remains cover over four acres, giving some sense of the size and scope of these monastic communities.

Bridgetown Priory, Co. Cork, also an Augustinian Priory dating to the early 13th century.
